Steve is an investor coach with Mathies Financial Partners. He initially started his career in the investment services industry working for a large broker-dealer and life insurance company in Colorado Springs. This provided him the opportunity to see how a company that focused on selling products versus providing financial coaching and planning operated. In an effort to find a company that fit his personal investment philosophy, he connected with Mathies Financial Partners.
He came to our firm with a 20-year history of being an independent business owner and manager. He holds his master’s degree in counseling from Regent University and spent much of his life helping at-risk youth and their parents be successful in their communities. This passion for helping people translates well into his career with Mathies Financial Partners, where he helps families move toward financial peace of mind.
In his personal time, Steve enjoys dancing West Coast Swing, two-step and other country swing style dances. He also enjoys spending time in the Colorado Rockies hiking, biking and enjoying nature.

This phase is about discovering the right path, and we’re here to provide you with the map to navigate toward your perfect retirement.
MYFIT Analysis & Risk Assessment
Once we’ve gathered all the facts, we get to work by putting our heads together, analyzing different methods of growth and protection, and assessing your tolerance for risk. This is a brainstorming phase to find the solution we think puts you in the best possible position to succeed. We also customize your plan to you and your needs, finding the right fit for your unique objectives.
MYFIT Plan Design
At this point, we have a good idea of your goals and the approach we’re going to use to help you pursue them. For us, this is the most exciting phase, as we get to introduce the plan to you and show you why we’re passionate about our jobs and why we believe we can guide you toward your ideal retirement. Your plan is built to fit you, and it’s never “one-size-fits-all.” It’s as unique as your fingerprint.
Discipline Implementation
We begin taking the proper steps to implement the plan we’ve designed, and we create a clear outline to adhere to its individual pieces. This phase also includes the ongoing maintenance of your plan as we adjust and adapt to any circumstances that might be presented to you, whether they come from internal or external factors.
